Technical expertise is the documentation that analyzes existing buildings, identifies their current condition and provides directions and recommendations for renovation. In general, the most common type of specialty expertise is the structural one, during which the seismic risk level of the building is determined, and tests and surveys carried out to determine the quality of the materials. An expertise can also be performed for the assessment of the fire protection level, operational safety, for environmental or equipment assessments.
